Exactly what "bad words"?

Aren't you being silly in confusing the fact that Herb and Tom wrote
a paper that proved highly inaccuarate and controversial and the rest.

Errare humanum est.        

Not just because that paper contains inaccuarate materials means that
those who said or happen to agree with such assessments should not
meet the authors.  You are *far* from the trueth.  Please, don't
confuse disagreements on technical issues and the rest.

I suggest you ask someone else who was in the room (and followed both
the technical and non-technical sessions).
