Let me explain why I believe this to be better: GCC is quite a huge
project these days, and expertise in the various area is spread among
different (groups of) people.
If it were as simple as applying all your changes right aways, a single
huge patch would be best, but as is, the patches will need to be reviewed
by different people, and for that splitting is better.
Also, if you asked for feedback (like yesterday) and got positive
responses or actual test suggestions from my fellow maintainers, it's
best to update/prepare a patch and submit that in response, for everyone's
memory still will be fresh and ideally the maintainer having provided
feedback will take care of your patch.
I suggest to send the patches in smaller doses, not all of them at once.
;-) And perhaps after a few successful iterations, we ought to provide
(temporary) CVS write access to you or Lisa...
