David, would you mind updating gcc/doc/install.texi accordingly? There
is already a lot of stuff on AIX, but I'm afraid it's not up-to-date,
and now that we have the new documentation, it's a good point in time
to address this.

I agree. GCC 3.0 need not (and cannot) be an ueber-release, we should be
pragmatic, and in the end this is exactly the kind of choice a release
manager has to make.
