Note that this is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, for many
projects
that cannot switch to current technologies, such as dwarf-2, it may be
a better choice anyway to stay with proven 3.3 technology regardless of
this issue.
So, I'd think that your argument doesn't necessarily imply that the
priority assessment for this bug was wrong.
