I'm not sure to whom this was directed, but it is to the sysadmins on
gcc.gnu.org (I'm one of them), then, regrettably, I can't parse the
above. There aren't any symlinks (well, actually there is one trivial
one) that I can see in gcc/CVSROOT or in the gcc cvs directories and
there is no reference to /stock/* in any files.

As in any support type endeavor, details are always a valuable commodity.
You haven't provided many so I can't really comment.
