I'd just like to emphasise, again, how bad it is that the SC has
"internal" discussions. I believe this case completely demonstrates
my point. If the discussions had been public, (a) everyone would now
know if GCC 3.0 mistakenly deprecated multiline string
constants---they would even have known _before_ we made the release,
in time to fix it---and (b) everyone would know what arguments were
made, for and against.
