Re: GCC Version question


Some of us could get into trouble with any version.  As 2.96 is not a
GCC version, and is supported only by red hat, questions and bug reports
on it won't be appreciated on these lists.  3.0 may generate slower code
than earlier versions on i686; markedly so on P4.  If you're into g++,
that may not be a primary consideration.
