As Kurt mentioned this happened on _different_ UltraSparcs, it could
be some (hardware) problem with a NFS Server where the source and/or
object directories reside.
Some ideas: Kurt, have you tried fully local builds (in /tmp or similiar)?
Is your file server also Solaris 2.6? Have you tried disabling NFS3? Have
you installed the latest set of patches recommended by SunSoft?
