Yes, unless there are other more substantive issues, let's ho ahead with 
the patch and close the PR, let's first make sure we don't have this 
regression in the codebase. Then, Francois, consider Marc's suggestion 
for a separate piece of work, which maybe could also at once fix the 
comments in hashtable.h and elsewhere explicitly mentioning 
unary_function, which actually is deprecated in C++11 and can be at most 
an implementation detail.
