My fault, I screwed up the definitions with

    #ifndef __WCHAR_UNSIGNED__
    #  define __glibcpp_wchar_t_is_signed false
    #else
    #  define __glibcpp_wchar_t_is_signed true
    #endif

in std_limits.h

It should have been the reverse.  Please could you change the line 

    #ifndef __WCHAR_UNSIGNED__

to

    #ifdef __WCHAR_UNSIGNED__

and report what you get?
