No output from std::cout

   Oookay.  I've compiled up gcc-2.95.3 with the correct 
libstdc++, using -fhonor-std by default and patching a bug 
introduced in to the Cygwin 2.95.3 (tinfo2.cc).

   But a simple hello-world program (compiles OK) produces no 
output (but no error).  I get hopelessly lost trying to step 
through it in gdb.

   An obvious thoughts?  The equivalent (edited for non-STL) 
prog. works under the original Cygwin gcc.
