There have been lots of interest and frustration over the years
in small-footprint Java.  So I at least am definitely in favor.

There may be a possible legal concern wrt Sun trademarks etc.
That is one reason why a pre-proccessing solution may be preferable,
though I don't know if that alleviates the concerns.
