Thanks for your insight and response, Tom. Like I told Erik, I am
pretty low-maintenance and all I wanted to know is that I wasn't making
some obvious blunder. I don't expect a lot of handholding here.

I have a general question concerning this: would I debug a known
snapshot or a build of the latest CVS trunk? And when Ranjit sends
you patches, like his Win32 process patch, does he diff against
the latest CVS trunk or a known version? If I wanted to aspire to
send a patch one day, what would you like me to use as a baseline?
I would assume that in the case of that particular patch, it didn't
really matter, but I wanted to know if there was a best practice
with this.
