status of java.nio?

hi,

 does anyone know what the status of the java.nio packages are at the
moment? the website shows that both java.nio and java.nio.channels are both
nearly at 100%, but a recently grabbed build of the 3.3 sources is throwing

 Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Error: not implemented

if I attempt to use nio code that compiles successfully.
