The jc1 software is going to be commercial.  It *is* commercial.
However, there is no *product*, and certainly no $149 product!

Same thing.  jc1 is the name for the actual copiler pass.
It is invoked by the gcj front-end, just like cc1plus is invoked by g++.
(The name gcj is fairly new.)
