Synopsis: Problem creating static arrays
State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback
State-Changed-By: apbianco
State-Changed-When: Fri Dec 10 22:03:23 1999
State-Changed-Why:
I couldn't reproduce the bug. However, something in the
generated assembly isn't quite right:
...
movw _1x.SIZE_VALUE, %si
subl $8, %esp
subl $2, %esp
pushw %si
pushl $8
call _Jv_NewArray
...
I'm worried of the effect of a pushw on _Jv_NewArray which
expects two integers. With the attached patch, the generated
code becomes:
...
movswl _1x.SIZE_VALUE,%esi
subl $8, %esp
pushl %esi
pushl $8
call _Jv_NewArray
...
Which sounds much better. Let me know how the patch works
for you.
