MS/CW-style inline assembly for GCC

Well, if it's a separate tool, then the change to the gcc user manual
seems pretty simple.

-ftranslate-asm
  Run the afront asm translator tool after preprocessing.  This
  implements a different syntax for inline assembler.  See the afront
  documentation for details.


But I admit that I am curious as to how you documented your
implementation of the CW asm syntax.  The example which Andrew posted
included things which looked like structure fields being used as
offset values.  Presumably __asm_get_global_ptr stores the address of
a global variable in a register.
