Not to seem rude or anything, but why are we even discussing this on a
technical list?

Let me get a quick count of people qualified to make a decision regarding
the release of copyright assignment data. Can I have a show of hands from
all the lawyers present...

...not you, Daniel, put your hand down...

...that would be zero, then.

Okay. Write to assign@gnu.org, and Cc RMS and the FSF legal counsel. Tell
them what you want to do. Ask them whether it's okay. Abide by their
decision. Back-and-forth "this is how I view the world, so this is how the
law should work" messages provide fascinating insights into developers'
personalities, but serve no practical purpose.

Would I had phrases that are not known, utterances that are strange, in
new language that has not been used, free from repetition, not an utterance
which has grown stale, which men of old have spoken.
