Right.  The cygwin version of gcc is a binary provided by a cygwin
volunteer.  It is cygwin policy to communicate via mailing lists about
package issues rather than engage individuals.

The cygwin gcc maintainer does read the cygwin list.  It's a requirement
for being a package maintainer.  I don't know if he reads this list or
not but it is not a requirement that he do so.
