I hit a similar error on i686-pc-linux-gnu during the build of abi_check.cc:
...
GGC heuristics: --param ggc-min-expand=38 --param ggc-min-heapsize=15823
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
ggc_set_mark (p=0x10) at ../../gcc/gcc/ggc-page.c:1161
1161 if (entry->in_use_p[word] & mask)
(gdb) p*entry
$5 = {next = 0x861bd, bytes = 4544,
page = 0x341bd50 <Address 0x341bd50 out of bounds>, index_by_depth = 0,
context_depth = 17152, num_free_objects = 12, next_bit_hint = 1536,
order = 0 '\0', in_use_p = {3153066224}}
(gdb) p word
$6 = 32780165
I have gone back to June 22,2003 00:00:00 UTC but still see the error.
