glibc 2.0 targets

Hello,

before looking too deeply into Bug 4068: gcc doesn't
bootstrap on x86-linux-glibc2.0, I'm wondering, how
much interest is there in this target? With minor
tweaks, the C compiler builds, but libstdc++ and
threading look to require major work. Given that this
platform has not built out-of-the-box since before gcc
3.0, does this seem like a port that should be
revived, or should it be put on the deprecation list
post-3.4? Thanks,
