Which unfortunately wasn't very clear in one respect: I wasn't asking for
the gcc-maintainers list to become public or the like. Certainly,
non-public lists are very useful for some things (like the steering
committee list). That was more a general comment about how it would be
great from my perspective if any new lists for the release management
process were publically lurkable. (I wasn't sure if people realized that
people other than the maintainers involved might be interested in just
lurking and listening.)
