New branch for SIMPLE/tree-ssa work

   The ast-optimizer-branch has gotten pretty old and CVS operations
   are taking forever.  Particularly with the frequent merging from
   mainline.
   
   I've created a new branch called tree-ssa-20020619-branch.
   Unless anybody can convince me that this is a monumentally bad
   idea, I'd like to move all the development for SIMPLE and tree
   SSA to this new branch.

If the only purpose of the new branch is to avoid the CVS slowness,
and the changes are going to be otherwise identical, I believe this is
a very bad precedence to set.
