However, we really ought to have a redirect in .htaccess for this. There
are outside links, for example from:
http://www.gnu.org/directory/g++.html
http://www.x86-64.org/credits/gcc
and indeed in the 3.0 release announcement:
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-announce/2001/msg00002.html
(of which there are probably copies online elsewhere as well).
We should be following the principles of:
