I've successfully built GCC 3.0.1 on the following platforms:

  i686-pc-linux-gnu (Caldera 2.4, glibc 2.1.2)
  ia64-unknown-linux (Red Hat 7.1.94, glibc 2.2.4)

and I've added them to the GCC 3.0 build status list at
http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-3.0/buildstat.html .
