can't build gcc-2.95.2 on SCO OSR 5.0.5

Don't do that as root. 

enable-threads is nonsensical on OpenServer and may be the root of your
evils.  I can't say I've tried it. I do know that 2.95.2 without that
flag does indeed bootstrap on 5.0.6.
