Incorrect advice about gettext?

I'm still here (I'm the poor sod that wrote sv.po :-) and willing to help
out.

I stoped updating the translation as long as it didn't work for me anyway.
I know that translations have a tendency to get old and useless as
projects move on. I don't like spending that much work that it really is
translating gcc if there is no hope that it can be used. It's probably a
full weeks work to make a somewhat good translation.

I don't understand what the problem is here though? The only thing that
should happen when an translation gets old is that some strings are not
used anymore and they automaticly get transformed to comments in the .po
file.

But never the less. Just tell me what to do and I'll do it.

Is this a good time to get the cvs version of gcc?. I mean in the respect
that now it works to run a translated gcc all they way. Before it didn't
work when the executable gcc called the other parts of gcc.
