Something *very* similiar will also be required for the GCC 3.0 release
process.

If you are interested in helping with that on some of the primary and
secondary evaluation platforms, please also mention it, so that I can
"officially" add you at < http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-3.0/criteria.html >.

PS: Bernd, the testsuite patch most probably will be required for the
3.0 release process as well, so I think you could add it to the gcc-3.0
directory on our web-server?
