C166 port of gcc???

Is there an attempt to port gcc to the Siemens C166
or ST10, respectively?

There is a "GNUish" compiler released and supported
by Hitec, Germany. They call it a "GNU compiler",
but apparently it is not freely available (there is
an evaluation version with 64k code space restriction).

Anybody out there who is able and willing to integrate
C166 target supports to egcs/gcc?

Or, alternatively, is there information available
about porting/retargeting gcc? (As some kind of
cookbook with examples and templates, not in a too 
generic form, because I'm not experienced in 
compiler design)
