   It would be nice if gcc warned seeing things like

   gcc -I -Imydir  <whatever>
    
   i.e. what is supposed to be a dir, starts with a dash.
   As implied in earlier email, this can be easily caused
   by erronous Makefiles which define some variables to be
   empty. This has actually happened and seems realistic
   to prevent in the future.

   P.S. BTW, compared to CC -w2, g++ -Wall -pedantic
        does a very good job warning about potential
        problems in source code --- it caught a few
        rather risky things in the code I was porting.
        I am looking forward to being able to use -Weffc++
        (however modified) after libstdc++ is cleaned.
