I didn't worry about pipe asymmetries because the K6 integer pipes are more similar than the Pentium pipes. For Pentium you may need to use the MD_SCHED macros. See the discussions in the egcs list archive in response to my request for comments on the original K6 patch. The SPARC machine description has sample code.
