I had the impression that when compiling with the "native" NetBSD-gcc,
I could link shared libraries located in directories other than
/usr/lib, without having to provide a -L flag. So I was pretty
surprised when the egcs compiler didn't do it. After reading your mail
I tested this with the normal gcc installation again and was even more
surprised to see that the native compiler behaves absolutely the same.

So... uh, I guess we better forget I ever posted that question. Sorry,
my mistake.
