GCC2 merging (was "native language support now available")

Speaking strictly for myself, I no longer volunteer significant amounts of my
time to gcc2 because I've found working within the gcc2 development model too
mainful and frustrating.

If it were not for egcs I would have completely quit any kind of gcc development
by now.
