egcs-980122: results on i586-linux-gnulibc1 haifa disabled - READ it: CRASHES included

Just rebuilt kernel 2.1.81 using egcs-980122 and made the backup again.
This time: _NO_ problems!

Is there anybody else who observed similar behaviour with gcc-2.8.0 compiled
stuff?
