Not sure if I answered this one.
egcs-1.0 has all the significant features found in gcc-2.8.0 except the
ADDRESSOF optimization which we considered too risky to introduce into
egcs-1.0.
egcs has many additional bugfixes as well as features not found in gcc-2.8
(alias code, haifa scheduler, loop optimizer improvements, integrated
C++ runtime libraries, etc -- see the web page :-)
