Thanks.  Nick has mentioned looking at it as a possible solution to some
arm port problems.  I may also spend some time looking at it to deal
with some MIPS issues in the near future.

I'll go ahead and state that the fundamental concepts seem right:

  Accurately track lifetimes

  Spill locally instead of globally, updating lifetimes as needed.

  Get rid of special handling of small register classes and such.
