Interested in release

Well, I'm actually preparing a message about the status of the
first release.  The basic theme is there's a set of technical
criteria that will determine when the release is ready.  We want
everyone to be aware of what those criteria are so that we can
focus our effort on those issues.

We're actually quite close, especially now that egcs is working
out of the box on the most widely used Linux configurations (hint).

In fact, if some folks want to start running the egcs gcc/g++
testsuites on a gcc-2.7.2.{1,2,3} based compiler it will be a big
help (hint).

I'll try to put together some info on how to do this tomorrow since
"make check" won't work.  It's should be fairly straightforward
to use an existing installation, so those who already have gcc-2.7
installed shouldn't have to rebuild it to run the testsuite for
comparison purposes.

Well, I use it on my c110 running hpux10.20 as well as my 715/100 running
hpux10.20.

It should work on a C160 too so long as you don't care about using any
of the PA2.0N specific features.

We are a separate development branch.
