Attempt to compile abinit-6.6.3 using gcc45 causes "no such instruction" errors

Hi,

I am trying to compile abinit-6.6.3 using gcc45 installed using macports. I
am on Mac OS X Lion.

I am getting the following error message:
/var/folders/bl/8wb0ry9x00g8k6v3l9z293r80000gp/T//ccmJW8V4.s:94:no such
instruction: `vmovsd LC2(%rip), %xmm5'

And it goes on for many lines, with different instructions.

Would anyone happen to know what is causing this error?

I have also posted this on the abinit forum, but haven't had a response in
over 2 weeks...
