Error 'Make: line 1192: syntax error. Stop'

Iam facing problem while installing gcc 3.3.2 on HP Unix 11i v1 with version 
as B.11.11, the error is as follows

'Make: line 1192: syntax error.  Stop.'

Please suggest in this regard..
