linker options

I'm compiling/dynamically linking with gcc 2.95.3 on Slackware Linux 8.0.  

When I disassemble the code, some of the function addresses are two bytes
offset from
the actual address reported by  'nm' .  So of course, the code is crashing.
So far, I
have not seen the problem if I do a static link but customer requirements
are for
dynamic linking.

Has anyone seen this problem?

Are there any switches that I can set to avoid this problem?
