Making gcc on IRIX5.3...

Hi,

I am having problem to install gcc (in order to build OpenSSH) on a IRIX5.3
system.

When I am trying to make the source I get missing headerfile ctype.h and it
cannot find nm. I think those are part of the base compiler system, but I
would like to verify this. I would also verify if I need the base copiler
system in order to install gcc.

If I run version -b |grep compiler I get following:

| compiler_eoe 02/09/99 IRIX Standard Execution Environment
(Base Compiler Headers and Libraries, 7.2.1)

But I have heard that I need the compiler_dev as well (Base Compiler
Developement Environment), is this true ?

I would appreciate any hints in installing gcc and finally OpenSSH (with
tcpwrapper) on a IRIX5.3 system.

/Cheers,

Jim Keene
