exceptions on shared libraries

Hi,
	I'm having some trouble while trying to catch the exceptions thrown by a 
library i've made. At first i was able to catch exceptions in this library 
(ones generated by another library) thanks to the -fpic flag; but now i'm 
stuck. I supose I need a flag I haven't been able to find in the info pages. 
Any ideas?
