The C++ compiler should be included in your Linux distribution, please
check your CD-ROM carefully. When it is installed, it is named 'g++'.

If you really think you need to download and install gcc yourself,
please have a look at ftp://gcc.gnu.org/pub/gcc/releases/index.html .
If you want C, C++, and Java, it may be easiest to download the "Full
Distribution". Please follow the installation instructions on
gcc.gnu.org afterwards.
