I am using GNU tools for embedded PowerPC MPC555. Cross compiling platform
is Windows 2000. After installing the ppctools I found a lot of libraries
without knowing the content. By try-and-error I am able to link my
application error-free with the libraries

libc.a
libtr555.a
libsim.a
libgcc.a

What is inside those libs?
What is the difference between libs with identical names in different
directories? Is nof the no floating point subdirectory with floating point
emulation?
