Questions about using gcc on Irix 6.4

I've got all necessary header files and libs installed(like the Irix as..etc) and using gcc 2.8.1:

And I'm trying to compile OpenGL programs. 

1) First of all it's complaining about having -o and -c on the same line.
2) and complaining about -mabi=32 support does not work yet...

What are the best ways to override cc -> gcc? Are there configuration files I need to change?
