egcs 1.1 is 4 1/2 years old and no more supported for a long time already.
Please try a newer compiler and see whether the problem goes away.

If it doesn't, please follow the detailed bug reporting instructions
given on the web page the internal compiler error links to. In particular,
we need _preprocessed_ sources.
