Build failure with gcc-ss-20010101

Oops. Just reread Alexandre's message. I'd attached the configure
file in the topmost directory. The one in the gcc subdirectory
exists, but has zero length (even after a full reload via cvs). I've
manually reloaded by removing the files and running cvs in the gcc
directory.  I now configure.

However, the build still fails, (actually I'd posted this problem
before, but hadn't realized that it would also lead to a truncated
gcc/configure).

make[1]: Entering directory `/home/ronis/Project/notar/objdir/gcc'
(cd ../../gcc/gcc && autoconf)
configure.in:459: m4: ERROR: Recursion limit of 250 exceeded, use -L<N> to change it
make[1]: *** [../../gcc/gcc/configure] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/ronis/Project/notar/objdir/gcc'
make: *** [bootstrap] Error 2

I'm using autoconf version 2.49b.
