Segmentation fault while bootstrapping ss-20011217

Hi!
I bootstrapped on sparc-sun-solaris2.7 using
../gcc-20011217/configure --prefix=${prefix} --enable-languages=c++,f77,java
--enable-threads=posix --with-gnu-as --with-gnu-ld
gmake boostrap
and got
checking for exception model to use... configure: error: unable to detect
exception model
