I agree that it looks odd, but I didn't feel it worth the effort
to avoid the message on non-windows hosts. Given that this is the 
first time someone has brought this up since 14-Aug-1999 when it 
was added, I would imagine that it doesn't bother people that much.

I'll take a quick look, and see what needs to be done.
