Getting many errors from g++ tests on Irix6

	I've recently been getting a lot of errors (~325) from the
egcs g++ testsuite on mips-sgi-irix6.2.  Similar problems occur in the
libstdc++ and the libio testsuites.  See:

In looking through the g++.log file, most of them are compile time
errors with output similar to this:


 > compiler exited with status 1
 > output is:
 > ld: WARNING 84: /caip/u47/ghazi/gcc-testing/egcs-CVS19990307/mips-sgi-irix6.2//libstdc++/libstdc++.a is not used for resolving any symbol.
 > ld: WARNING 84: /usr/lib32/libm.so is not used for resolving any symbol.
 > ld: ERROR 33: Unresolved text symbol ".L184" -- 1st referenced by /caip/u47/ghazi/gcc-testing/egcs-CVS19990307/gcc/testsuite/../libgcc.a(_eh.o).
 > ld: INFO 60: Output file removed because of error.
 > collect2: ld returned 2 exit status
 > FAIL: g++.mike/p6610a.C (test for excess errors)
 > ld: ERROR 33: Unresolved text symbol ".L184" -- 1st referenced by /caip/u47/ghazi/gcc-testing/egcs-CVS19990307/gcc/testsuite/../libgcc.a(_eh.o).
 > ld: INFO 60: Output file removed because of error.
 > collect2: ld returned 2 exit status

 > XFAIL: g++.mike/p6610a.C  Execution test


	In looking through the testsuite mailing lists, I see similar
